The Right Background To Understand YOU
Coach Noa combines more than a decade of run coaching with a career spent understanding people, motivation and performance. A New Yorker through and through, she brings a direct, resourceful and highly personal approach to athletes in NYC and around the world. With a background in Organizational Psychology from Columbia and extensive experience working with “corporate athletes,” she understands that ambitious training still has to fit into a very real life. Noa loves being a female run coach while coaching athletes of all genders, and has completed additional coursework in nutrition for female endurance athletes.
An Alternative Start that Adds Perspective
Noa was definitely not a natural-born athlete, once preferring movie marathons to running ones. Her relationship with running began unexpectedly in graduate school, when her best friend challenged her to take a Level 1 New York Road Runners class.
She went into that class unsure whether she could complete its 20-minute final “test.” She did, and that small breakthrough changed the trajectory of her life. Since then, Noa has completed 22 marathons, earned multiple Boston qualifying times, raced five Olympic-distance triathlons and taken nearly two hours off her own marathon time.
Going from true beginner to competitive endurance athlete gives Noa a perspective she brings to every athlete she coaches. And yes, she still loves a good TV or movie marathon. Recovery matters.
Helping Runners Find Their Next Gear
In 15+ years of coaching, Noa has helped runners through first marathons, major PRs, Boston qualifying times and plenty of breakthroughs in between. She especially loves working with first-time marathoners who want to train smart and runners who have been running for a while but are ready to get more intentional, competitive with themselves and curious about what the numbers can become.
Her coaching is personal, data-informed and direct. She pays attention to the numbers without ever coaching the spreadsheet instead of the person. Training should challenge you, adapt to real life and ultimately get you to the start line feeling healthy, confident and ready to race.
